Planet Savers is the first rural pilot of this program designed to engage with 15 local schools to increase awareness of greenhouse and other sustainability issues and to support and work with them to reduce their energy consumption.

Planet Savers
Yarrawonga students join those at St Mary's Primary School, Rutherglen, to launch their Planet Savers program.

The program has the potential to involve the entire school community. Students can get involved in the entire process from collation of information for the audit, to development and implementation of energy saving and other sustainability actions and monitoring results.

The schools involved have the potential to save over 150 Tonnes of carbon dioxide from being emitted every year through simple measures to reduce energy use at school.

Wodonga Schools are invited to join the program but it is fully subscribed in other areas. Please email the Alliance if you are interested in finding out more.
